about us Supporting schools and educators

Honest. Personal. Reliable.

Thrive was founded with one clear mission: to make educational recruitment more personal and supportive for everyone involved. We set out to create an agency that schools and educators could truly rely on, built on trust, community, and lasting relationships.

A people first approach

We know that recruitment can sometimes feel transactional, but that’s not what Thrive is about. To us, it’s always about people. Every teacher, every teaching assistant, and every school matters.

That’s why we take the time to get to know you. For educators, that means recognising your skills and goals, finding roles where you’ll feel valued, and offering pay that reflects the importance of your work. For schools, it means listening closely to your needs and finding staff who are the right fit, not just on paper, but in practice.

Our approach is simple: build genuine relationships and always be available. When you work with Thrive, you’re not just another number; you’re part of a partnership.

A strong presence in our community

Our business originated in Plymouth, and that local heritage shapes everything we do. We’re proud to support schools and educators across Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset – understanding the unique challenges they face and sharing their commitment to community.

Giving back is a big part of who we are. From sponsoring grassroots football to building lasting partnerships with schools, we believe in investing in the people and places around us. We’re here to make a positive difference to education and the communities that depend on it.

We’re proud to play an active role in local Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes, helping provide children with fun, engaging activities and healthy meals during the school holidays to support local families and keep kids active.

In-house compliance

In education, trust is everything, and that starts with compliance.

We take this responsibility seriously, which is why we offer dedicated in-house compliance. Every check is thorough and tailored to the education sector, with enhanced safeguarding standards and consistent processes to ensure nothing is overlooked. This means faster, smoother placements for educators and peace of mind for schools.

We ensure every check meets the highest standards and is in line with current legislation, so schools can trust that their staff are fully compliant and safe to work in the classroom.
