Recruitment that works for your school
Every school has different needs, so we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all recruitment. We take the time to listen and understand exactly what you need, whether that’s dependable supply staff or the perfect long-term hire.
Our focus goes beyond ticking boxes on a job description. We look at the bigger picture: the environment you’ve created, the values you uphold, and the goals you’re working towards. That way, the people we place don’t just bring the right skills; they are the perfect fit for your school.
If you need short-term cover, we’ll have reliable candidates ready to step in. For supply roles, our teachers, tutors and support staff are prepared to slot seamlessly into your team. And for permanent appointments, we’ll help you secure someone who fits your culture and makes a lasting difference.

Fair, flexible, and here when you need us
We’re not here to push sales or shuffle CVs; we’re here to get the right people into the right roles. That’s why we interview the majority of our candidates face-to-face before they ever set foot in your classroom.
When it comes to contracts, we believe in keeping things fair, and we don’t make you restart the clock if you want to keep someone on permanently.
If you decide after six weeks that a candidate is the right fit, you’ll only need to fulfil the original twelve-week temporary contract before they can move across. No drawn-out delays, no hidden costs, just a straightforward, transparent process that works for your school.
We keep our prices fair without compromising on quality of service, and we are on hand seven days a week to ensure you have the support you need.

Fully checked, fully trusted
The wellbeing of children and young people comes first. Before we place anyone in a school, we carry out thorough identity and right-to-work checks. This includes proof of eligibility to work in the UK, photographic ID, two recent proofs of address, a National Insurance number and, where relevant, change of name documentation.
We also meet every candidate in person to validate their original documents, assess their suitability and employment history, and complete medical questionnaires alongside safeguarding and disqualification declarations.
Their training, experience and qualifications are carefully verified, with at least two professional references covering the past two years, proof of any qualifications, QTS or QTLS checks where applicable, and mandatory Safeguarding and Prevent training, including FGM awareness.

Comprehensive safeguarding checks for every candidate
Our safeguarding checks go beyond the basics, following the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education (2022) guidance.
Every candidate is subject to an enhanced DBS with barred list information (L99), as well as prohibition, disqualification and restriction checks through the TRA or EWC. This includes section 142 directions, GTCE sanctions and section 128 barring directions.
To give you even greater assurance, we also conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates to highlight any concerns that might suggest a safeguarding risk or unsuitability to work with children and young people. By conducting rigorous checks, we ensure every Thrive candidate is safe, professional and fully prepared to make a positive contribution to your school.
