We’re looking for caring, patient and proactive individuals to join a specialist education setting in Plymouth as Learning Care Support Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting children and young people with a variety of complex learning, physical and medical needs. You’ll play an important role in helping each student reach their full potential through personalised learning support, care, and encouragement, making every day varied, rewarding, and meaningful.

Pay: £14.40 per hour
Hours: 9:00am – 3:15pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and adaptable Learning Care Support Assistants to join a specialist educational setting in Plymouth. You’ll support children and young people with a range of complex learning, physical, and medical needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.
This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to provide personalised support that promotes learning, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities

Support pupils in classroom learning and daily routines

Assist with personal care and medical needs (training provided)

Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
About You

Caring, patient, and passionate about supporting young people

Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Flexible, proactive, and a strong communicator

Experience in education, care, or health settings is desirable but not essential – full training is provided

Must hold GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Maths, or Level 2 Functional Skills equivalents
