Vacancy Educational Health Care Assistant (EHCA)

Location: Plymouth
Pay: £14.40 per hour
Hours: 9:00am – 3:15pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and adaptable Learning Care Support Assistants to join a specialist educational setting in Plymouth. You’ll support children and young people with a range of complex learning, physical, and medical needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.

This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to provide personalised support that promotes learning, independence, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils in classroom learning and daily routines

• Assist with personal care and medical needs (training provided)

• Encourage positive behaviour and social development

• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

About You

• Caring, patient, and passionate about supporting young people

• Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Flexible, proactive, and a strong communicator

• Experience in education, care, or health settings is desirable but not essential – full training is provided

• Must hold GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Maths, or Level 2 Functional Skills equivalents
